Bead soup reveal!!!

had so much fun with my bead soup from Jodie Marshal

I was SO excited with the elephant clasp and the colors of the soup.

I added some silver work to the focal and I wanted the necklace to be simple and elegant. I must've put it together what seems like a million times!   I'm working on a bracelet with some of the other soup :D

Here's the necklace

The amazing tin clasp that inspired my elephant addition to the focal.

Here is the focal. It's an amazing large disc bead made by my partner Jodie! I made a silver elephant disc with tubing and another disc on the back with loops and riveted them together!  I love how it looks!

This is what I sent Jodie

Can't wait to see what she comes up with :)

Lori Anderson is the wonderful host of this blog hop

Check out this link for links to all the participants blogs!!

I can't wait to do it again :)

Bead Soup Party!

This year I decided to join Lori Anderson's bead soup exchange!  I've been wanting to participate for some time.  (I'm a little late with this blog post but I'm also new to blogging!!). Everyone who signs up is paired with someone and they exchange a "bead soup". It must include a focal bead and a special clasp.  Then each person makes something with theis soup and the creations are posted all on the same day for everyone to see :) My partner was Jodie Marshall  She is also a glass lampworked but also does really cool seed beading!!!

My box came and it was uber cool and decorated all bright and cheery!

Inside was little packages of beady goodness and some candies :)

Opening the packages revealed some awesome beads!  Some were enameled , some were her lampwork (a very awesome disk bead) and some were seed beaded!!  I love the fall type colors!

And the clasp!  It was SO perfect!  She had no idea that elephants hold a special place in my heart because they are my daughters favorite :D

I absolutely LOVE everything and have started planning out my jewelry pieces :)

The end to a great day... I'd like to think my dad had something to do with this beautiful sunset on the anniversary of his passing.  Love you dad. Miss you.
